Unmasking Limiting Beliefs: Clearing the Path to Manifestation

Have you ever felt like your dreams are just out of reach? Like there's an invisible barrier keeping you from the life you truly want?

Me too. All the time. But hey, you are part of my own self-growth and mind-shifting journey, and we all have these moments of doubt and frustration, we might as well learn together. Those feelings and/or thoughts often stem from something called limiting beliefs.

Limiting beliefs are thoughts and ideas about ourselves, the world around us, and our capabilities. They can be conscious or unconscious, and they can be based on our past experiences, our upbringing, cultural conditioning, or simply our own mind that decided to tell us this story. Limiting beliefs can have a powerful impact on our lives, especially regarding manifestation. Manifestation is the process of using our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs to create our desired reality. When we have limiting beliefs about ourselves, our worthiness, or our ability to achieve our goals, it can be very difficult to manifest our desires. In fact, they will probably not going to happen.

Here are a few examples of limiting beliefs that can block our manifestations:

  • "I'm not good enough."

  • "I don't deserve to be happy."

  • "I'm not capable of achieving my goals."

  • "Money is hard to come by."

  • "Love is hard to find."

  • "I'm unlucky."

(Take a moment and reflect: Do you sometimes think that about yourself? Do you know why?) When we have these kinds of limiting beliefs, we are essentially sending out a message to the universe that we are not worthy of our desires. As a result, the universe is less likely to deliver them to us, since the universe, unlike what some people assume, is bringing us the reflection of what we are. Not what we want.

If we want money but we live in the concept of lack - the universe will give us lack.

If we want to be successful but don't believe we are worthy, we'll continue to see in our reality the reflection of our beliefs.

A lot of articles, blog posts, and videos are talking about those problems, and how identifying them is a very important part of the solution, but what about "OK, how do I fix this ??" Well, don't worry, I got you covered!

  1. Identify your limiting beliefs. As I mentioned: The first step is to become aware of the limiting beliefs that you have. You can do this by paying attention to your thoughts and feelings, just by observing yourself, especially when you are feeling stuck or discouraged. If you are reacting badly to something, emotionally or physically - try to stop and reflect - What was the belief that made you feel that way? Meditating is another great tool for that.

  2. Challenge your limiting beliefs. Once you have identified your limiting beliefs, you can start to challenge them. Ask yourself if these beliefs are really true. Are they based on evidence, or are they just stories that you have been telling yourself?

  3. Replace your limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs. Once you have challenged your limiting beliefs, you can replace them with more empowering ones. For example, instead of believing "I'm not good enough," you could believe "I am worthy of love and success." A great way of doing it is by using affirmations that you can relate to and repeat every day. I got you covered here too! These Affirmations are a great start if you are new to this.

  4. Change the Narrative: The Law of Assumption. The Law of Assumption teaches us that the story we tell ourselves is what we manifest. It's about assuming the feeling and state of already having what we desire. When you change the narrative from "I can't" to "I am," you shift the energy and open yourself up to receiving. Don't be afraid to sound delusional to yourself! It really works :)

  5. Take action aligned with your new beliefs. Once you have replaced your limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs, you need to start taking action aligned with your new beliefs. This means doing things that you now believe in, even if they are scary or challenging, or you can't see them yet

OK ok, but what actions you ask? You already know I got you ;) We are talking about what I call: The awesome four: Self-Concept, Love, Gratitude, and Happiness

Self-concept: Build your self-concept by practicing self-love, acceptance, and compassion. Affirm your worthiness and remind yourself of your strengths and accomplishments. Reward yourself for success and even for just being aware of a limiting belief.

Love: Open your heart up to love by forgiving yourself and others, and by releasing any past hurts or resentments. Practice self-love and compassion, and radiate love out into the world. You have no idea how much loving ourselves influences the well-being of the entire world.

Gratitude: This is the most powerful tool I can give you. When you are in a feeling of gratitude there is NO resistance, your limiting beliefs are just disappearing for that time. So as long as you focus on gratitude, you raise your vibration and attract more good things into your life.

Following your happiness: Pay attention to what makes you happy and do more of it. When you follow your happiness, you are aligning yourself with your true purpose and passion. I am not talking about a trip to the moon, or visiting Wanka's chocolate factory every day, but try staying on what makes you feel good, or at least less bad, and do it daily. hourly even, don't think big - just baby steps. I will have a following post on that matter.

By following these tips, you can overcome your limiting beliefs and start manifesting your desires. Remember, you are worthy of all the good that life and the universe have to offer. And the universe always gives you what you want and need in the most beautiful and natural way - Just stop blocking it ;) Well, You and me both! * Cover Image by jigsawstocker on Freepik
